Coach Blake Crutsinger joins the Nocona Indians for this year as Athletic Director.  Crutsinger started his coaching career here in Nocona in 2008. He comes back to Nocona with 16 years of coaching experience, including time most recently as Offensive Coordinator, Athletic Cooridnator, Head Golf coach, and Special Education teacher at Gainesville High School for the past 5 years.  Prior to GHS, he had an additional 4 years as OC, 2 years as Special Teams Coordinator, and one year as Defensive Coordinator.  Coach Crutsinger grew up in Lindsay and earned a Bachelor of Science with minors in Kinesiolgoy and Biology.  Blake and his wife Leslie have been married for 17 years and have two children: Avery is a Freshman at NHS and Keller is in 5th grade at Nocona Elementary.

Coach Denson is entering the eleventh year of his coaching career, and his first here in Nocona. He will serve as the Defensive Coordinator for the football team, and will also be the Head Baseball Coach. Coach Denson is a 2010 graduate of Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas where he played, and also coached baseball. He and his wife, Kelsie, have been married for eight years, and they have a two year old son named Slade. Prior to coming to Nocona, Coach Denson was at DeKalb, Texas for four years and Llano, Texas for six.

Coach Lanham comes to Nocoan with 8 years of coaching and teaching experience including most recently at Liberty HS where he served as the Offensive Coordinator and Head Track Coach. Prior to Liberty, he was at Jarrell, Hamilton, and Liberty.  He has experience as Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, Softball coach, Head Girls Powerlifting, and Boys’ Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. Lanham is a 2007 graduate of Prosper High School and graduated from Tarleton with a B.S. in Kinesiology. Nolan and his wife Clancey have been married for 11 years and they have three children: Hatley (10), Axton (7), and Ridge (4).

My name is Payton Betts. This is my fourth year here at Nocona ISD. I will be teaching World Geography and World History. This upcoming school year will be my fifth year teaching and coaching. Prior to joining Nocona ISD I taught and coached at Wichita Falls High School. I graduated from Bowie High School in 2012 and graduated with a Masters in education from Austin College in 2017. I live in Bowie, Texas with my wife Tamran, and our two daughters Evelyn and Mosley.

My name is RJ Oliver and I’m from Bowie, TX. I enjoy being outdoors and spending time in Colorado in the mountains. I graduated from Bowie High School in 2015 and pursued college baseball for 4 years at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville Arkansas. I graduated college in 2019 with a Bachelor Degree in Health Science. I am now working at Nocona ISD teaching 7th grade Texas History and coaching football, basketball, and baseball. Go Indians!

Coach WoodallChris Woodall

Coach Chris Woodall comes to Nocona with 25 years of experience at Castleberry ISD and Fort Worth Dunbar. His teaching experience is in speech to health and pe; he has coached all sports for both boys and girls. His hometown is in rural Oklahoma; he made his way to Texas after his freshman year in college. He landed at Tarleton State where he received both his B.S. and M.Ed. The field of education runs in his family with most of them having been teachers and coaches.

Coach Woodall has many interests along with all team sports, especially fishing and hunting, hobbies he shares with his sixteen-year-old daughter Loren who-he proudly says- is an accomplished musician and singer in addition to being a drum-major at Boerne Champion High School.

He is excited to be here in Nocona and looks forward to the year with the school and the community. Go, Indians!

This is my first year as a Teacher/Coach. I attended Windthorst High School and graduated in 2017. Afterwards, I attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University. I played baseball and achieved a Bachelor’s in Science. I teach 6th Grade Science and coach football, basketball and track. I will also volunteer with Baseball.
